Rev3 (Important: Backup your WTF folder!) I just uploaded rev3 which fixes an error when playing Hunter. A database conversion takes place when the user logs in.

The way Buff Indicators are stored has been changed to prevent errors or mismatched info when importing Buff Indicators from others.

Previously it would include all global settings.

Rev2: (Important: Backup your WTF folder!) This will allow you to restore your settings in case something goes wrong. It is strongly advised that you create a backup of your WTF folder before testing. I would very much like to know if you experience any issues with your Buff Indicator filters. I could probably add a way to pick what kind of filters you want to share. This video was recorded early in development, so the options you see yourself may look a little different. I made a short video to show how it works. This exports the settings in a format that can be easily used for installers in external edits. The 'Plugin' format is for the more advanced users. The 'Table' format can be used to export the settings in a readable format. It can then be easily shared on forums or through other methods. This turns your profile into one long string, and then compresses and encodes it. Most users will want to use the 'Text' format.

Filters (All) - This exports both nameplate and unitframe filters as per the info above.

If a spell with the same name/id already exists in the filter, then it will be overwritten.

Filters (UnitFrames) - All filters found in the 'Filters' section of the config (except 'Buff Indicator (Profile)').

If a filter with the same name already exists, then it will be overwritten.

Filters (NamePlates) - All filters found in the 'Nameplates -> Filters' section.

You will probably not want to share these, but you can use it to backup your settings.

Global - These are account specific settings.

You generally don't need to share these with other people, but you can use it to easily copy all settings from one character to another.

Private - These are character specific settings, such as the enabled/disabled state of modules or skins.

Profile - These hold the majority of the settings in ElvUI and is generally what people want to share.

If you want to import a profile, then you simply have to paste the text into the text field on the import frame. You then just have to click the 'Export Now' button and copy the text with Ctrl+C or Cmd+C. The export frame is set up by default to share your profile in text format. Start by going to the 'Profiles' section of the ElvUI Config, then either click the 'Export Profile' or the 'Import Profile' button, depending on what you want to do. Exporting or importing settings in ElvUI will be as simple as clicking a few buttons and copy/pasting text.
